From the designer:
"Fair Rosamund comes from English medieval legend, where she was often called “the Fair Rose of the World.” I’ve always loved the poetry of that name. It carries this sense of romantic mythology, beauty that feels both timestamped and a little bit enchanted.
For this gown, the fabric itself became the focal point. We hand-developed the textile entirely from scratch so the botanical motifs could be placed thoughtfully across the body in enhancing the shape. I kept thinking about the decorative arts movement, particularly the rhythmic floral compositions of William Morris, where nature is stylized but still feels alive. Here the embroidery climbs gently upward through the bodice and skirt, almost like roses winding through a garden wall.
The silhouette has what I’ve dubbed the Sleeping Beauty shape. The softly dropped basque waist and subtle A-line create that storybook proportion, romantic, graceful, and just a little regal. I loved balancing that sweetness with a hint of seduction through the scoop push-up neckline, while the scalloped corset back adds a level of intricate craftsmanship that feels fresh but still rooted in tradition.
To me, Fair Rosa Mundi feels like stepping into a fairy tale that’s been rewritten for the off-the-moment bride, part medieval romance, part couture garden in bloom.”
