From the designer:
"The title arrived before the reference, which still makes me laugh a little because it echoes that hot topic that is Wuthering Heights: “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” The design began with a sculptural plaster wall piece I spotted at Art Basel. Its surface carved with organic linear grooves that almost felt like fabric frozen in motion. I wanted to translate that idea into textile. The embroidery forms a web of lines that ripple across the gown, while the appliqués add a constellation of micro caviar beading and sand-fine paillettes to catch the light. There’s also a subtle influence from Iris van Herpen in the way the structure almost feels like it’s alive—fabric behaving like it’s breathing, moving with the body rather than simply covering it. The effect is celestial and architectural at the same time. A reminder that sometimes the most beautiful things happen when structure and soul meet in the same place.”
