" Maude actually began as a derivative of It Makes Me Wonder, but she quickly insisted on becoming her own character. Some gowns demand individuality, and this one absolutely did. The layered skirt keeps that ethereal quality, but the bodice becomes the commander — curvaceous, sculptural, and unapologetically feminine. I loved experimenting with a bias tie that can cross either in front or in back, giving the bride a little authorship in how she wears it. There’s something playful about that flexibility. After all, if a gown can decide who she wants to be, why shouldn’t the bride?”
